You have 2 FAT’s (file allocation tables) on disk drive system.
Usually the first one is deleted and the second can be recovered.
Download a partition manager like Acronis and try recover it.

    yep,

Sounds like its deleted your partitions, got recovery/Windows installation disks?

Your HD is not set up yet. Once the partition is erased, you will need to crate a new one. You can go to download dot com and search for partition program. PartitionMagic will do the trick. Even the trial version will allow you to create new partition, and then format it. After you format it into NTFS format it will automatically add it to your windows. You might have to reboot.

If this is your primary HD and you do not have windows installed, you will need the original or restore disks for your computer so this will automatically format your HD.

Killdisk deletes ALL the information off the drive, including the partition and format information.

In order to use the disk, you need to repartition and reformat the drive.

Assuming you are using Windows XP or Vista, you can use the disk management utility to repartition and reformat the drive so you can use it.

Go to “Start” and then click “run” in Windows XP, in the dialog box that pops up type “diskmgmt.msc” without the quotation marks. In Vista, you would simply type that in the “search” field that is on the start menu.

Then you will see a list of drives attached to your system. You should see the drive in question as unallocated space. Right-Click on the drive you are wanting to make usable and select “partition and format” or “format” depending on the version.

From there, select NTFS file system and hit OK. Once it is done doing its thing, your drive will show up under “my computer” and will be usable.
